The “Black Box” Promise
The “Black Box” Promise
At Black Box Computers, our name represents a commitment to clarity, integrity, and absolute transparency in an industry often clouded by complexity. We operate under a simple truth: technology should serve the client, not the provider. This policy defines the ethical standards that every employee, contractor, and representative of Black Box Computers must uphold without exception.

Our ethical philosophies are built on these principles
01
Integrity in Sales & Client Solutions
We believe that trust is our most valuable asset. Our sales philosophy is rooted in long-term partnerships, not short-term profit margins.
Zero Deceptive Practices: We prohibit all forms of deceptive sales tactics, including hidden fees, misleading service level agreements (SLAs), fear-based selling (using exaggerated cybersecurity threats to force a sale), or burying predatory terms in fine print. All quotes and contracts must be written in plain, accessible language.
Selling Only What is Needed: We diagnose before we prescribe. Every recommendation must directly align with the client’s actual operational needs, budget constraints, and technical realities.
The Prohibition of Overselling: It is strictly against company policy to pad invoices, artificially inflate hardware specifications, or recommend unnecessary software licenses. If a client needs a basic workstation, we will never sell them an enterprise-grade server.
02
Data Privacy, Security, and Trust
As IT professionals, we are granted keys to our clients’ most sensitive data. We treat this privilege with the highest degree of respect.
Transparency in Breaches: In the unlikely event of a security vulnerability or incident, Black Box Computers commits to immediate, transparent disclosure to affected clients. We fix problems openly; we do not hide them.
Confidentiality: Employees must never access, copy, modify, or disclose client data unless explicitly required to fulfill a service request.
03
Professional Competence & Quality of Work
We do it right the first time, and we do it safely.
Sustainable Infrastructure: We build systems that are secure, scalable, and stable. We refuse to cut corners that save us labor time but expose the client to future downtime or security risks.
Honest Skill Assessment: If a project or technology falls outside our scope of expertise, we will tell the client directly. We do not experiment on a client’s dime or accept contracts we are unqualified to execute.
04
Accountability and Reporting
Ethics is everyone’s responsibility. If you see a colleague engaging in deceptive sales practices, artificial upselling, or corner-cutting that risks client security, you are required to report it to management immediately.
Our Safe Harbor Rule: Black Box Computers strictly prohibits retaliation of any kind against an employee who reports a suspected violation of this policy in good faith. No employee will ever be penalized for losing a sale because they refused to compromise our ethical standards.
Compliance Acknowledgment
By working with or for Black Box Computers, you pledge to uphold these principles, ensuring that our clients always receive transparent, honest, and high-quality IT support.
